MSI is proud on their experienced logistic team with highly organizational skills meeting the needs of the aviation industry. Our two main goals at all time are minimize customer cost while maximize customer service.

Logistic facilities

  • MSI operates global warehouses with about 20.000 square feet of warehouse space
  • Divided into high rack warehouse space and small parts warehouse space
  • For our fast moving parts paternoster lifts help to cut down process time
  • Special areas for the storage of dangerous goods
  • Temperature and humidity controlled at all time
  • Handled via a state of the art ERP and Inventory Management System

Customs department

Our own customs department offers the following services:

  • Import and export customs clearance
  • Foreign economics - export and import compliance experts
  • An own bonded warehouse is monitored electronically

Security and customer service

The logistic center of MSI (Kobaltstrasse 2-4, 65428 Ruesselsheim, Germany) has been certified by the German Federal Aviation Office (Luftfahrt-Bundesamt LBA) as Known Consignor (see regulations (EC) 300/2008). Since end of 2012 MSI is registered in the European Regulated Agents and Known Consignors Database (RAKCD). The registry number is: DE/KC/00625-01

By achieving this state MSI shows its continuous ambition to improve its processes relevant to Security and Customer Service. The objective of this program is to protect passengers, aircrew, airport personnel, and the public from acts of unlawful interference with civil aviation. The security controls applied to all air cargo are designed to provide reasonable assurance that it does not contain unauthorized weapons, explosives or other prohibited articles, which may be used to commit an act of unlawful interference against the security of civil aviation. As the new regulations were effective in March 2013 MSI still is able to serve its customers in a fast way, with a financial benefit (no screening necessary) and the improvement of its security standards.

Exchange Pool Services

Component Exchange Service Agreements helps customers to reduce component inventory costs and lead time. No own large expensive inventory needs to be maintained by customers. This mostly is used for LRUs with a high value. Customer sends unserviceable unit to one of MSI’s warehouses. Customer will immediately receive an exchange unit for his urgent needs in Overhaul/Repaired condition. All Repair/Overhaul activities will be managed by MSI. Overhauled/Repaired Unit will go to MSI exchange pool afterwards. All component exchange services are on customized basis.
